This is the end, Beautiful Friend....

The Prince

Kenneth Charles

June 16, 1989 - January 8, 2010

My beautiful son, Kenneth Charles, the Prince, lost his battle with addiction last Friday and left this world for the next. He overdosed on heroin. I pray he is finally at peace with himself and will now find the peace he so desperately sought. I pray for all of you on the god awful journey we are on.

May he rest in Peace.

Kel, I came here from Tabitha's blog.

Our family lost a boy in his early 20's to heroin two years ago. Another family member was on Oxycontin. The last few years of their lives were so awful, our lives too.

I know your pain, and you and your family are in my prayers.

Sincerely, Secretia

I can not imagine what you must be going through. I too, came over from Lou's blog. My son also suffers with addiction. He is a few months sober (he says) but we just never know what will happen. I can't begin to tell you how sorry I am, how absolutely hard this has to be and jwhat you must be feeling.

Big hugs and prayers from Kentucky for you, your son and your family.

I found you through Syd's blog.

Your prince is free as the wind and at the purest form of joy God knows. Try to take comfort in knowing the immense relief has been given from this horrible disease.

Your boy is in the arms of his true father, happy, joyous and eternally free. I wish you acceptance, a minute at a time, friend.

Our thoughts are with you. We know you are suffering and we would all give you a big hug and a listening ear if we popped by.

Keep the faith. You did your best. Some people we cannot save. Just take the best care of yourself that you can in the meantime as this is so uniquely distressing. Always better to weep in a meeting than weep alone at home I think. Stick close to meetings and get lots of hugs and coffees afterward to keep the lines of communication open during this very difficult time. Keep coming back, as they say..

Commented earlier, just want to say I am still thinking of your loss, so sorry..

There is only one word that comes to me.........INFINITY.........send everything your feeling there. I believe I commented once on your blog only once before about 4 years ago in regards to your sons addiction. This morning I got that tingly sensation that you feel(like when your hair stands up on the back of your neck). For some strange reason I went to your blog. The sensation came back. The strange thing was it only happened to the left side of my body. From the top of my head to my toes and right down the center of my body. If we were birds....
