You got it in you, find it within you...

Ok, so are y'all wearing your jeans today to support cancer? I was happy to pay $5 to wear jeans to work to support finding a cure today. My place of employment raised over $700 in just over an hour this morning. Yay us!

So yeah. 4 months and 3 days ago I lost my Dad to pancreatic cancer. A dear friend of one of my best friends, was diagnosed with Breast Cancer on June 18th of this year. June 20th she turned 40 years old. She has lymph node involvement, not a good thing. The Uncle of the man I am seeing, was diagnosed with Pancreatic cancer a little more than 6 weeks ago. He is already in pain and is now in a wheelchair. It is highly unlikely he will see another Christmas.

I am sending prayers and love to those of you who have been touched with this other awful disease besides the disease of addiction we battle every day. So this is all I have to say today kids. Lets find a cure!!

(BTW, I am such a new yorker, I never say y'all in real life, I just love it!!!)

They found some shit in my Dad growing randomly far away from the original treatment area. I guess this is what happens. I didnt want to believe it. I wanted to believe that the doctors were just low balling me with the 2 year goal and that he wouldnt see any effects for a few more years. I guess every time he tells me about some new problem area it will be like he is getting cancer all over again. I expect to have a terrible coupla years. I was very hopeful and now Im just crushed.

Since I had Prostate Cancer couple years ago (horses got out of the barn, the doctor said...) it seems like everyone I meet has, or had cancer.

When I was a kid, people died of pneumonia and stabbing. Then came heart attacks, now cancer. What next, natural causes? How droll.

I make fun of dying now (if it's me) because I'm closer to it than ever before. Pssst, did that make sense?

NOTE: I'm trying to beat that fellow "novchipinstalled" for length of comment!
