Come on, come talk to me.....

I know I haven't blogged in a long time, but I still check in and read your blogs everyday. I have to keep this short, but I just need to throw a question out there and I'm hoping for some feedback.
Is it OK, if you are in a "committed" relationship, to go into "romance, singles" chat rooms to talk to strangers?

If my partner would be hurt by it, whether he knew about it or not, then I think it is wrong. The key word is "romance", not "singles". If you're in an open relationship (which I'd never be), then I suppose that's fair game. But it seems to me by looking in a chat room for something romantic from a real person outside your committed relationship, you are betraying the commitment.

Kel, that doesn't sound healthy to me. It actually sounds voyeuristic. I hope that you are doing well. I miss your posts.

I'm guessing you need to confirm your own common sense that say's,
that NO this is not ok.If you are in a committed relationship, why would you need to chat online in a singles room?

You need to let peeps know you're reading their blogs so they know you are still "blogging'.

Try to post more too..you're missed.

That seems a bit hinky to me...if you want friendship then why would the person be in "romance/singles" if committed to an already situation...you can network and have social networking without romance, but I would think that this for me would be too fine a line to cross. Just my humble opinion though...

Ummm, no. It is not okay. Unless it is the only place your brother/sister/mother/father hang out and the only way you can chat with them.
A little far-fetched, but nonetheless a valid reason.

Forget whatever it is you are dealing with... and seriously read that sentence to yourself with unbiased eyes.... What does your heart tell you?

My opinion...chatting with strangers when you have a living, breathing person is just plain weird.
I can see checking it out for curiosity, but if someone is doing it habitually, I think there is some other issue going on.

Good luck with this one, honey.

Just my opinion, but no it's not okay. At best, it's very unhealthy. I miss you. I miss sharing in your life as I'm sure there are many of us out here who feel the same. Much love to you!

Nope. Not okay to be in those chatrooms. If they have friends online, they can be talked to in an environment that is better suited.

If you are thinking about it enough to ask, you know the answer.

Its hard not to partake in the little goofy opportunities the internet affords us. It doesn't have to mean much. But of coarse no one wants to end up like me.
